Ganga's blessing looks beyond the first days of exile to a homeward road not yet visible. Sita will return safely to Kosala with the lord of her life and with Lakshmana beside them.
The promise embraces more than survival. Her heart's desires will find fulfillment, and her beautiful renown will spread through the world. The river gives future joy a voice while the forest journey is only beginning.
Sita stands between the bank she has left and the wilderness ahead, carrying no worldly guarantee. Yet the blessing places completion within the departure, like the far shore already hidden inside the act of crossing. The fourteen years remain, but they no longer hold the final word.
The Ganga sends Sita toward the forest with the homecoming already murmuring beneath every mile of exile.
