The Brahman beyond description has accepted a human body and walks dusty roads. Compassion gives this hidden reality a visible gait, a face beloved by devotees, and deeds that can be remembered beside household lamps or beneath forest trees.
His play unfolds for devotees, the earth, brahmins, cows, and the gods. The incarnation is not a narrowing of the limitless into mere appearance. It is mercy becoming near enough for human eyes to follow and human hearts to love.
Hearing these deeds loosens the net of the world. The sacred narrative carries the listener from event into presence, from the form of Ram into the mystery Lakshmana has just named. The road, exile, friendship, and vigil become more than remembered history. They are openings through which bondage may fall away.
The boundless takes human steps so that, by hearing those steps, bound hearts may discover the way out of the world's net.

भगत भूमि भूसुर सुरभि सुर हित लागि कृपाल। करत चरित धरि मनुज तनु सुनत मिटहि जग जाल।।93।।
That same compassionate Lord, for the sake of His devotees, the earth, the brahmins, the cows, and the gods, takes on a human form and enacts His divine play. By merely hearing of these sacred deeds, all the entanglements of this world fall away. This is the very purpose of His story: it is the remedy for every bondage.
