Men and women throughout Ayodhya hear that Ram will be consecrated and rejoice inwardly. The news enters houses, workshops, courtyards, and market stalls as a personal blessing.
They judge destiny itself to be favourable. Hope no longer feels like a private dream but like the current upon which the whole city is moving.
At once each household begins preparing auspicious adornments. Citizens do not remain spectators waiting for palace ceremony. They bring colour, vessel, cloth, leaf, flower, and loving labour into their own spaces, making the coronation a citywide act of participation.
Believing destiny has turned toward them, the people make every home an antechamber to Ram's coronation.

राम राज अभिषेकु सुनि हियँ हरषे नर नारि। लगे सुमंगल सजन सब बिधि अनुकूल बिचारि।।8।।
Hearing of Rama's royal consecration, every man and woman in the city rejoiced in their hearts. Judging that destiny itself was on their side, they all set about preparing auspicious adornments.
