Vasishtha answers before Dasharatha has fully unfolded his request. The king's very name and fame, he says, give the heart what it seeks.
For the jewel among kings, fulfilment follows intention closely. A resolve formed within such dharmic love already carries the seed of its accomplishment.
The guru's words do not flatter arbitrary desire. They recognize a life whose wishes have been purified through duty, reverence, and care for the realm. When intention no longer serves the isolated self, destiny appears to walk behind it. Dasharatha receives permission to speak from a sage who has already seen the auspicious direction of his heart.
In the guru's sight, a purified intention already casts the first light of fulfilment.
Read the passage from the Manas
राजन राउर नामु जसु सब अभिमत दातार। फल अनुगामी महिप मनि मन अभिलाषु तुम्हार।।3।।
The sage replies, 'O King, your very name and fame are the givers of all that the heart could wish for. O jewel among kings, the fruit of your desire follows close behind your intention; whatever you resolve comes to pass.'
