At morning Bharata bathes at Prayag, bows before Bharadvaja with the whole company, and receives the sage's command and blessing upon his head. Paths and provisions are settled, and every heart turns toward Chitrakoot.

Guha walks at Bharata's hand like love embodied. There are no sandals below and no shade above, only devotion, discipline, vow, and guileless duty. Bharata asks his friend about the route taken by Sita, Ram, and Lakshmana in voices softened by remembrance.

Each tree and resting place touched by Ram releases another flood of love. The gods see the pilgrims and shower flowers. Earth itself becomes tender beneath their feet, and the road turns auspicious. The landscape that witnessed exile now receives the brother who follows every trace.

As Guha names each tree that sheltered Ram, heaven sends flowers and the earth grows soft beneath Bharata's unshod feet.

Read the passage from the Manas

He bathed at Prayag, the king of all pilgrimage places, and bowed his head before the sage along with his entire company. He kept the rishi's command and blessing upon his head, offered full prostrations, and spoke many humble words. With the path and provisions for the journey settled, and all companions gathered, he set out with his heart fixed on Chitrakoot. Rama's dear friend, the Ganga, seemed to take bodily form and walk alongside them, as though love itself had come alive. No sandals on their feet, no shade above their heads. Only pure love, steadfast discipline, sacred vows, and guileless dharma. Lakshmana, Rama, and Sita asked their companion about the stories of the path, speaking in gentle, tender voices. Whenever they beheld a tree or dwelling place where Rama had rested, the love rising in their hearts could not be held back. Seeing their devotion, the gods showered flowers from the heavens. The earth grew soft underfoot, and the very road became a wellspring of blessing.
