Dasharatha returns to the palace and summons Sumantra with the faithful ministers. They enter crying victory, bow their heads, and hear the king place Ram's anointing before their collective judgment.
If the plan pleases them all, let it proceed with glad hearts. The ministers receive the words like a long thirsting sapling receiving rain. Their joy rises not from privilege but from a deed they recognize as welfare for the whole world.
They pray that Dasharatha live a million years and urge immediate action. Their love becomes a branch upon which the king's delight climbs higher. Court, guru, king, and city are converging around the same desire without coercion.
The promise of Ram's crown falls upon the council like rain, and every loyal heart turns green.

मुदित महिपति मंदिर आए। सेवक सचिव सुमंत्रु बोलाए।। कहि जयजीव सीस तिन्ह नाए। भूप सुमंगल बचन सुनाए।। जौं पाँचहि मत लागै नीका। करहु हरषि हियँ रामहि टीका।। मंत्री मुदित सुनत प्रिय बानी। अभिमत बिरवँ परेउ जनु पानी।। बिनती सचिव करहि कर जोरी। जिअहु जगतपति बरिस करोरी।। जग मंगल भल काजु बिचारा। बेगिअ नाथ न लाइअ बारा।। नृपहि मोदु सुनि सचिव सुभाषा। बढ़त बौंड़ जनु लही सुसाखा।।
The joyful king returned to his palace and summoned his faithful servant, the minister Sumantra. Crying 'Victory! Long life to you!' they bowed their heads, and the king spoke his auspicious words. 'If this plan pleases all five of you, then with gladness in your hearts, anoint Rama as crown prince.' The ministers were overjoyed to hear these beloved words, as a longed-for sapling is overjoyed to receive rain. With folded hands the ministers made their plea: 'May you live, O lord of the world, for a million years! You have conceived a deed of true welfare for all the world. Make haste, O lord, and let there be no delay!' Hearing his ministers' loving words, the king's delight swelled further, as a growing vine finds a strong branch to climb.
