Chapter Six: The Rasika Lineage of Rama Worship

—17. Sri Vakacharya; 18. Sri Lokacharya; 19. Sri Devadhipacharya; 20. Sri Shaileshacharya (Lokacharya?); 21. Sri Purushottamacharya; 22. Sri Gangadharananda; 23. Sri Rameshvarananda; 24. Sri Dvarananda; 25. Sri Devananda; 26. Sri Shyamananda; 27. Sri Shrutananda; 28. Sri Nityananda; 29. Sri Purnananda; 30. Sri Haryananda; 31. Sri Shriyananda; 32. Sri Harivaryananda; 33. Sri Raghavananda; 34. Sri Ramananda; 35. Sri Surasurananda; 36. Sri Madhavananda; 37. Sri Garivananda; and 38. Sri Lakshmidas.

Dr. Grierson obtained another list from Patna that is broadly similar. It omits the lineage through Ramanuja Svami, varies some names, and lacks others—numbers 13 and 15, for example. In place of no. 17, Sri Vakacharya, it has Sri Madhyatindracharya; in place of no. 23, Sri Rameshvarananda, it has Sri Ramamishra; in place of no. 27, Sri Garivananda, it has Sri Garivadas; and no. 31 is absent.

An old manuscript list was obtained from Sri Tapasiji-ki-Chhavani in Ayodhya. Its chain reads:

First Brahman; from Brahman, the Root; from the Root, primordial nature; from nature, the seed Omkara; from the seed Omkara, the great principle; from the great principle, the primordial root Narayana; from Narayana, Mahalakshmi; from Mahalakshmi, the form of divine seeing; from that form, Vishvakarna; then Ujjasa Muni, Jyoti Muni, Loka Muni, Pragata Muni, Gambhira Muni, Dirgha Muni, Achala Muni, Prakasha Muni, Narada Muni, Koshtha Muni, Kripala Muni, Gopala Muni, Vairagya Muni, Tyaga Muni, Shrotrananda, Achyutananda, Purnananda, Dayananda, Shriyananda, Hariyananda, Raghavananda, Svami Ramananda, Anantananda, Krishnadas Payahari, Svami Agradas, and others.

The source notes that the manuscript has been copied exactly as written, including its correct and corrupt forms.
