[Eiktal, Rag Kedarau] Who can comprehend the mystery of Śrī Kīrtī's daughter, Śrī Rādhā's māna [loving sulk] with Śyāmasundara? Śrī Bhaṭṭa Devācārya Jī says that Her māna toward Kṛṣṇa only increases the nectar of divine love. Who can understand the inner mystery of the loving pastimes of māna performed by youthful Śrī Rādhikā, who blossomed like a night-blooming lily from the womb of Śrī Kīrti Jī? Just as few truly appreciate the fragrance and charm of the kumudinī flower, so too the profound significance of Her loving displeasure remains beyond ordinary understanding. Yet this māna-līlā serves only to deepen and expand the nectar of divine love. Just as continuously eating only sweet foods certainly gives pleasure, yet their sweetness is appreciated even more when occasionally contrasted with bitter or pungent flavors, similarly, Śrī Bhaṭṭa Jī explains that the loving māna of Vṛṣabhānu-nandinī continually enhances the sweetness of divine rasa. It preserves its ever-fresh relish and makes it all the more delightful for the rasika devotees.

O Śrī Rādhe! He whose direct contact cannot be attained even through the mind, speech, or actions, and who is altogether inaccessible and most difficult to attain—that very Supreme Lord, the beloved Pūrṇatama Puruṣottama Śrī Kṛṣṇa, bows His head at Your lotus feet. O Rādhe! The glory of Your divine love is truly extraordinary, and its greatness lies beyond the reach of words. Here in his verse, Śrī Bhata Devacharya explains the benedictory influence of Śrī Rādhā. O Rādhā, who can explain the benedictory influence and grace of your divine love? When you do 'maan' (annoyed) from Śrī Krishn, He comes to appease you. Śrī Bhata Devacharya says that this kind of maan Leela can only be performed by You because Kishor Śrī Krishn who is the supreme personality of Godhead, is inaccessible to all from their minds, thoughts and Karmas, comes to please You because of the benedictory influence of Your divine love. He falls at your feet just because of your magnificence and Divine love.

Śrī Śyāmasundara conveyed His humble plea to Śrī Rādhā, who was sulking, through the language of His eyes, and Śrī Rādhā accepted His request with a glance of Her own. But when Śrī Kṛṣṇa humbly placed His head at Śrī Rādhā’s lotus feet in full surrender, She gave up Her māna and became completely pleased. Śrī Rādhā bears the deepest love for Nanda-nandana Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The sakhīs say, “O Rādhe! Though You outwardly remain displeased with Your beloved Śyāmasundara, Your love for Him cannot be concealed. Just look—Śyāmasundara’s very form is reflected in Your eyes. What purpose, then, can this separation serve?” O daughter of Vṛṣabhānu! He is earnestly imploring You, resting at Your lotus feet. Behold His beautiful form just once, and by doing so, bring joy to one another. Śrī Bhaṭṭa Devācārya Jī says that when Śrī Rādhā cast Her glance upon Śyāmasundara and saw the red alta from Her own lotus feet adorning His beautiful head, Her heart melted, and She became completely overcome by love for Hari.
