O fortunate one, when I hear from an expert messenger the auspicious time for meeting the prince of Vraja, will I rejoice and adorn you with delicate garments, flower-fashioned ear ornaments, necklaces, and the other ornaments?

O moon-faced Goddess, when will I prepare the bed in the splendid doorway of the house named Madanānandada—with jasmine nets, many kinds of flowers humming with bees, garlands, and saffron designs that display Love's art?

Near Govardhana, will I see clever Madhusūdana—the crown of all masters of playful joking—block your way on the pretext of collecting a toll while your eyes answer him with proud, knitted brows?

तव तनुवरगन्धासङ्गिवातेन चन्द्रा वलिकरकृतमल्लीकेलितल्पाच्छलेन मधुरमुखि मुकुन्दं कुण्डतीरे मिलन्तं मधुपमिव कदाहं वीक्ष्य दर्पं करिष्ये

tava tanuvaragandhāsaṅgivātena candrā valikarakṛtamallīkelitalpācchalena madhuramukhi mukundaṃ kuṇḍatīre milantaṃ madhupamiva kadāhaṃ vīkṣya darpaṃ kariṣye

O sweet-faced one, when will I proudly watch Mukunda come to meet you on the bank of the kuṇḍa like a bee, drawn by the breeze carrying your exquisite bodily fragrance and using Candrāvalī's jasmine play-bed merely as a pretext?

समन्तादुन्मत्तभ्रमरकुलझङ्कारनिकरैर्लसत्पद्मस्तोमैरपि विहगरावैरपि परम् सखीवृन्दैः स्वीयैः सरसि मधुरे प्राणपतिना कदा द्रक्ष्यामस्ते शशिमुखि नवं केलिनिवहम्

O lovely-thighed one, when, in a bower humming with bees on the radiant bank of the lake and crowded with blossoming flowers, will the conqueror of Ariṣṭa joyfully ornament you with many flowers, expanding my ocean of happiness?

Will the hair of my mistress bring the highest delight to my eyes as Hari eagerly decorates it—his heart swelling—with peacock feathers, guñjā berries, and masses of many fresh flowers hastily offered by a certain companion, while her radiant body trembles and blooms with joy?

माधवं मदनकेलिविभ्रमे मत्तया सरसिजेन भवत्या ताडितं सुमुखि वीक्ष्य किन्त्वियं गूढहास्यवदना भविष्यति
