मुकुन्दमुरलीरवश्रवणफुल्लहृद्वल्लरी कदम्बककरम्बितप्रतिकदम्बकुञ्जान्तरा । कलिन्दगिरिनन्दिनीकमलकन्दलान्दोलिना सुगन्धिरनिलेन मे शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ १॥

May Vṛndāvana forest be my shelter. Within each of its kadamba-filled groves the heart-vines blossom upon hearing the sound of Mukunda's flute; a fragrant breeze rocks the beds of lotuses belonging to the daughter of Kalinda mountain.

विकुण्ठपुरसंश्रयाद् विपिनतोऽपि निःश्रेयसात् सहस्रगुणितां श्रियं प्रदुहती रसश्रेयसीम् । चतुर्मुखमुखैरपि स्पृहिततार्णदेहोद्भवा जगद्गुरुभिरग्रिमैः शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ २॥

vikuṇṭhapurasaṃśrayād vipinato'pi niḥśreyasāt sahasraguṇitāṃ śriyaṃ praduhatī rasaśreyasīm | caturmukhamukhairapi spṛhitatārṇadehodbhavā jagadgurubhiragrimaiḥ śaraṇamastu vṛndāṭavī || 2||

May Vṛndāvana forest be my shelter. It yields the highest fortune of rasa, a glory a thousand times greater than taking refuge in Vaikuṇṭha city or even in the forest of liberation. The foremost teachers of the world headed by four-faced Brahmā long to take birth there even as grass.

अनारतविकस्वरव्रततिपुञ्जपुष्पावली विसारिवरसौरभोद्गमरमाचमत्कारिणी । अमन्दमकरन्दभृद्विटपिवृन्दवृन्दीकृत द्विरेफकुलवन्दिता शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ ३॥

May Vṛndāvana forest be my shelter. The far-spreading excellent fragrance rising from rows of flowers upon ceaselessly blossoming masses of vines astonishes Ramā. Its multitude of trees holds abundant nectar and hosts of bees gather to worship it.

क्षणद्युतिघनश्रियोव्रजनवीनयूनोः पदैः सुवग्लुभिरलङ्कृता ललितलक्ष्मलक्ष्मीभरैः । तयोर्नखरमण्डलीशिखरकेलिचर्योचितै र्वृता किशलयाङ्कुरैः शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ ४॥

kṣaṇadyutighanaśriyovrajanavīnayūnoḥ padaiḥ suvaglubhiralaṅkṛtā lalitalakṣmalakṣmībharaiḥ | tayornakharamaṇḍalīśikharakelicaryocitai rvṛtā kiśalayāṅkuraiḥ śaraṇamastu vṛndāṭavī || 4||

व्रजेन्द्रसखनन्दिनीशुभतराधिकारक्रिया प्रभावजसुखोत्सवस्फुरितजङ्गमस्थावरा । प्रलम्बदमनानुजध्वनितवंशिकाकाकली रसज्ञमृगमण्डला शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ ५॥

vrajendrasakhanandinīśubhatarādhikārakriyā prabhāvajasukhotsavasphuritajaṅgamasthāvarā | pralambadamanānujadhvanitavaṃśikākākalī rasajñamṛgamaṇḍalā śaraṇamastu vṛndāṭavī || 5||

अमन्दमुदिरार्बुदाभ्यधिकमाधुरीमेदुर व्रजेन्द्रसुतवीक्षणोन्नट्ण्तनीलकण्ठोत्करा । दिनेशसुहृदात्मजाकृतनिजाभिमानोल्लसल् लताखगमृगाङ्गना शरणमस्तु वृन्दाटवी ॥ ६॥

amandamudirārbudābhyadhikamādhurīmedura vrajendrasutavīkṣaṇonnaṭṇtanīlakaṇṭhotkarā | dineśasuhṛdātmajākṛtanijābhimānollasal latākhagamṛgāṅganā śaraṇamastu vṛndāṭavī || 6||

May Vṛndāvana forest be my shelter. Its flocks of peacocks dance wildly upon seeing the son of Vraja's king, whose intense sweetness is greater than ten million mighty rain clouds. Its vines, birds, and does exult in the pride of belonging to the sun's friend's daughter.

May Vṛndāvana forest be my shelter. Govardhana flourishes there in the supreme station of being Hari's finest servant; its rāsa ground is the astonishing dwelling of the bride of the bearer of Madhu. Brilliant with Vraja's innate sweetness, it possesses a forest beauty that is not concealed.

इदं निखिलनिष्कुटावलिवरिष्ठवृन्दाटवी गुणस्मरणकारि यः पठति सुष्ठु पद्याष्टकम् । वसन् व्यसनमुक्तधीरनिशमत्र सद्वासनः स पीतवसने वशी रतिमवाप्य विक्रीडति ॥ ९॥

idaṃ nikhilaniṣkuṭāvalivariṣṭhavṛndāṭavī guṇasmaraṇakāri yaḥ paṭhati suṣṭhu padyāṣṭakam | vasan vyasanamuktadhīraniśamatra sadvāsanaḥ sa pītavasane vaśī ratimavāpya vikrīḍati || 9||

The person who carefully recites these eight verses, which cause remembrance of the virtues of Vṛndāvana, foremost among all groves, lives here with good spiritual aspiration and a mind freed from affliction. Attaining controlled love for the yellow-clad Lord, that person sports with him.
