श्रीश्रीकृष्णचैतन्यचन्द्राय नमः । श्रीमदीश्वररूपेण रसामृतकृता कृता । स्तवमालानुजीवेन जीवेन समगृह्यत ॥ १॥

śrīśrīkṛṣṇacaitanyacandrāya namaḥ | śrīmadīśvararūpeṇa rasāmṛtakṛtā kṛtā | stavamālānujīvena jīvena samagṛhyata || 1||

Obeisance to the moonlike Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya. Created by glorious Rūpa, the maker of the nectar of rasa, this Garland of Hymns was collected by Jīva, who lives in dependence upon the garland.

पूर्वं चैतन्यदेवस्य कृष्णदेवस्य तत्परम् । श्रीराधायास्ततः कृष्णराधयोर्लिख्यते स्तवः ॥ २॥

pūrvaṃ caitanyadevasya kṛṣṇadevasya tatparam | śrīrādhāyāstataḥ kṛṣṇarādhayorlikhyate stavaḥ || 2||

English translation

First are written hymns to Lord Caitanya, then to Lord Kṛṣṇa; after those, to Śrī Rādhā, and then to Kṛṣṇa and Rādhā together.

विरुदावली ततो नानाच्छन्दोभिः केलिसंहतिः । ततश्चित्रकवित्वानि ततो गीतावली ततः ॥ ३॥

virudāvalī tato nānācchandobhiḥ kelisaṃhatiḥ | tataścitrakavitvāni tato gītāvalī tataḥ || 3||

Then comes a garland of heroic epithets, followed by a gathering of divine sports in many meters; next come patterned poems, and after those the Garland of Songs.

ललितायमुनावृष्णिपुरीश्रीहरिभूभृताम् । वृन्दाटवीकृष्णनाम्नोः क्रमेण स्तवपद्धतिः ॥ ४॥

lalitāyamunāvṛṣṇipurīśrīharibhūbhṛtām | vṛndāṭavīkṛṣṇanāmnoḥ krameṇa stavapaddhatiḥ || 4||

English translation

Thereafter follows, in order, the path of hymns to Lalitā, the Yamunā, Mathurā city, Govardhana—the blessed mountain of Hari—Vṛndāvana forest, and the names of Kṛṣṇa.
