May Mathurā spread for you a multitude of blessings. She is expert at granting liberation and devotion to Govinda, and her form is being, consciousness, and joy. Within her arise and shine the twin divine powers called Tāraka, which carries across, and Pāraka, which brings fulfillment. She is the mine of Kṛṣṇa's birth-pastime, Kṛṣṇa being the crest jewel of the whole universe, and her eminence surpasses even Vaikuṇṭha.

May Madhupurī grant you the fortune of loving devotion. Her brilliant radiance is clear as ten million moons; she is unconquered by the warriors of worldly misery; her dwelling terrifies illusion; and a river of divine pastimes steals the sages' hearts. The gods headed by the lord of Kāśī fully pray at her gate for blessings, while Vaikuṇṭha sings her fame.

She is the seed of liberation's tree, the deliverer from the covering of misfortune, the Tāraka that carries across. She is the abode of loving rasa and the Pāraka that fulfills the burden of desire. Within her residents arise these two functions of the power of consciousness. May that city of Mathurā churn away your calamities and create prosperity for you.
