अथ पडधिकशततमोऽध्यायःनारायण उवाच एतस्मिन्नन्तरे नाजा ककुद्मी च महाबलः । वरार्थं कन्यकायाश्च ब्रह्मलोकात्समागतः ।। १ ।। प्रददौ रेवतीं कन्यां शश्वत्सुस्थिरयौवनाम् । अमूल्यरत्नभूषाढ्या त्रिषु लोकेषु दुर्लभाम् ।। २ ।। बलाय बलदेवाय संप्रदानेन कौतुकात् । वयो यस्या गतं सत्ये युगानां सप्तविंशतिः ।। ३ ।। दत्त्वा कन्यां विधानेन मुनिदेवेन्द्रसंसदि । गजेन्द्राणां त्रिलक्षं च जामात्रे यौतुकं ददौ ।। ४ ।। दशलक्षं तुरङ्गाणां रथानां लक्षमेव च । रत्नालंकारयुक्तानां दासीनां चापि लक्षकम् ।। ५ ।। मणिलक्षं रत्नलक्षं स्वर्णकोटिं च सादरम् । वह्निशुद्धांशुकं रम्यं मुक्तामाणिक्यहीरकम् ।। ६ ।। दत्तवा कन्यां च राजेन्दो बलाय बलशालिने । रत्नेन्द्रसारयानेन तैः सार्ध कुण्डिनं ययौ ।। ७ ।। अथान्तरे च निर्बन्धे साङ्गे मङ्गलकर्मणि । रेवतीं वेशयामास योषितां कमलाकलाम् ।। ८ ।। देवकी रोहिणी चैव यशोदा नन्दगेहिनी । अदितिश्च दितिः शान्तिर्जयं कृत्वा च मन्दिरम् ।। ९ ।। ब्राह्मणान्भोजयामास ददौ तेभ्यो धनं मुदा । मङ्गलं कारयामास वसुदेवस्य वल्लभा ।। १० ।। अथ देवाश्च मुनयो राजेन्द्रः कटकैः सह । संप्रापुर्लीलामात्रेण कुण्डिनं नगरं मुदा ।। ११ ।। ददृशुर्नगरं सर्वे ह्यतीव सुमनोहरम् । सप्तभिःपरिशाभिश्च गभीराभिश्च वेष्टितम् ।। १२ ।। प्राकारैः सप्तभिर्युक्तं द्वाराणां शतकैस्तथा । नानारत्नैश्च मणिभिर्निर्मितं विश्वकर्मणा ।। १३ ।। नगरस्य बहिर्द्वारं ददृशुर्वरयात्रिणः । रक्षितं रक्षकैः सार्ध चतुर्भिश्च महारथैः ।। १४ ।। रुक्मिश्च शिशुपालश्च दन्तवक्त्रो महाबली । शाल्वो मायाविनां श्रेष्ठो युद्धशास्त्रविशारदः ।। १५ ।। नानाशास्रत्रैस्तथाऽश्त्रैश्च रथस्थश्च रणोन्मुखः । विलोक्य कृष्णसैन्यं च चुकोप नृपनन्दनः ।। १६ ।। उवाच निष्ठुरं वाक्यं श्रुतितीक्ष्मं सुदुष्करम् । उपहास्य मुनीन्द्रांश्च देवांश्च मुनिपुंगवान् ।। १७ ।। रुक्मिरुवाच अहो कालकृतं कर्म दैवं च केन वार्यते । किंवाऽहं कथयिष्यामि देवेन्द्राणां च संसदि ।। १८ ।। ग्रहीतुं रुक्मिणीं कन्यां देवयोग्यां मनोहराम् । आयाति देवैर्मुनिभिर्नन्दस्य पशुरक्षकः ।। १९ ।। साक्षाज्जारश्च गोपीनां गोपोच्छिष्टान्नभोजनः । जातेश्च निर्मयो नास्ति भक्ष्यमैथुनयोस्तथा ।। २० ।। किं नु राजेन्द्रपुत्रश्च किं नु वा मुनिपुत्रकः । वसुदेवः क्षत्रियश्च भक्षणं वैश्यमन्दिरे ।। २१ ।। शिशुकाले च स्त्रीहत्या कृताऽनेन दुरात्मना । कुब्जा मृता च संभोगाद्वाससा रजको मृतः ।। २२ ।। राजेन्द्रस्य वधे दुष्टो ब्रह्महत्यां लभेद्ध्रुवम् । मथुरायां च धर्मिष्ठः सद्यः कंसो निपातितः ।। २३ ।। शाल्व उवाच यदुक्तं रुक्मिणा देवाः किमसत्यं च तत्र वै । को वाऽयं रुक्मिणीभर्ता नन्दस्य पशुरक्षकः ।। २४ ।। शिशुपाल उवाच अहो भुवि किमाश्चर्य देवा ब्रह्मादयस्तथा । मुनीन्द्रा ब्रह्मणः पुत्राश्चाऽऽययुर्मानवाज्ञया ।। २५ ।। दन्तवक्त्र उवाच संततं ब्राह्मणा लुब्धा देवाश्च भक्तवत्सलाः । आययुर्ब्रह्मपुत्राश्च नन्दपुत्राज्ञया कथम् ।। २६ ।। तेषां च वचनं श्रुत्वा चुकोप देवसंधकः । मुनिराजेन्द्रसंघश्च लाङ्गलीत्यादयस्तथा ।। २७ ।। इति श्रीब्रह्मo महाo शीकृष्णजन्मखo उत्तo नारदनाo रुक्मिण्युद्वाहे षडधिकशततमोऽध्यायः ।। १०६ ।।

atha paḍadhikaśatatamo'dhyāyaḥnārāyaṇa uvāca etasminnantare nājā kakudmī ca mahābalaḥ | varārthaṃ kanyakāyāśca brahmalokātsamāgataḥ || 1 || pradadau revatīṃ kanyāṃ śaśvatsusthirayauvanām | amūlyaratnabhūṣāḍhyā triṣu lokeṣu durlabhām || 2 || balāya baladevāya saṃpradānena kautukāt | vayo yasyā gataṃ satye yugānāṃ saptaviṃśatiḥ || 3 || dattvā kanyāṃ vidhānena munidevendrasaṃsadi | gajendrāṇāṃ trilakṣaṃ ca jāmātre yautukaṃ dadau || 4 || daśalakṣaṃ turaṅgāṇāṃ rathānāṃ lakṣameva ca | ratnālaṃkārayuktānāṃ dāsīnāṃ cāpi lakṣakam || 5 || maṇilakṣaṃ ratnalakṣaṃ svarṇakoṭiṃ ca sādaram | vahniśuddhāṃśukaṃ ramyaṃ muktāmāṇikyahīrakam || 6 || dattavā kanyāṃ ca rājendo balāya balaśāline | ratnendrasārayānena taiḥ sārdha kuṇḍinaṃ yayau || 7 || athāntare ca nirbandhe sāṅge maṅgalakarmaṇi | revatīṃ veśayāmāsa yoṣitāṃ kamalākalām || 8 || devakī rohiṇī caiva yaśodā nandagehinī | aditiśca ditiḥ śāntirjayaṃ kṛtvā ca mandiram || 9 || brāhmaṇānbhojayāmāsa dadau tebhyo dhanaṃ mudā | maṅgalaṃ kārayāmāsa vasudevasya vallabhā || 10 || atha devāśca munayo rājendraḥ kaṭakaiḥ saha | saṃprāpurlīlāmātreṇa kuṇḍinaṃ nagaraṃ mudā || 11 || dadṛśurnagaraṃ sarve hyatīva sumanoharam | saptabhiḥpariśābhiśca gabhīrābhiśca veṣṭitam || 12 || prākāraiḥ saptabhiryuktaṃ dvārāṇāṃ śatakaistathā | nānāratnaiśca maṇibhirnirmitaṃ viśvakarmaṇā || 13 || nagarasya bahirdvāraṃ dadṛśurvarayātriṇaḥ | rakṣitaṃ rakṣakaiḥ sārdha caturbhiśca mahārathaiḥ || 14 || rukmiśca śiśupālaśca dantavaktro mahābalī | śālvo māyāvināṃ śreṣṭho yuddhaśāstraviśāradaḥ || 15 || nānāśāsratraistathā'śtraiśca rathasthaśca raṇonmukhaḥ | vilokya kṛṣṇasainyaṃ ca cukopa nṛpanandanaḥ || 16 || uvāca niṣṭhuraṃ vākyaṃ śrutitīkṣmaṃ suduṣkaram | upahāsya munīndrāṃśca devāṃśca munipuṃgavān || 17 || rukmiruvāca aho kālakṛtaṃ karma daivaṃ ca kena vāryate | kiṃvā'haṃ kathayiṣyāmi devendrāṇāṃ ca saṃsadi || 18 || grahītuṃ rukmiṇīṃ kanyāṃ devayogyāṃ manoharām | āyāti devairmunibhirnandasya paśurakṣakaḥ || 19 || sākṣājjāraśca gopīnāṃ gopocchiṣṭānnabhojanaḥ | jāteśca nirmayo nāsti bhakṣyamaithunayostathā || 20 || kiṃ nu rājendraputraśca kiṃ nu vā muniputrakaḥ | vasudevaḥ kṣatriyaśca bhakṣaṇaṃ vaiśyamandire || 21 || śiśukāle ca strīhatyā kṛtā'nena durātmanā | kubjā mṛtā ca saṃbhogādvāsasā rajako mṛtaḥ || 22 || rājendrasya vadhe duṣṭo brahmahatyāṃ labheddhruvam | mathurāyāṃ ca dharmiṣṭhaḥ sadyaḥ kaṃso nipātitaḥ || 23 || śālva uvāca yaduktaṃ rukmiṇā devāḥ kimasatyaṃ ca tatra vai | ko vā'yaṃ rukmiṇībhartā nandasya paśurakṣakaḥ || 24 || śiśupāla uvāca aho bhuvi kimāścarya devā brahmādayastathā | munīndrā brahmaṇaḥ putrāścā''yayurmānavājñayā || 25 || dantavaktra uvāca saṃtataṃ brāhmaṇā lubdhā devāśca bhaktavatsalāḥ | āyayurbrahmaputrāśca nandaputrājñayā katham || 26 || teṣāṃ ca vacanaṃ śrutvā cukopa devasaṃdhakaḥ | munirājendrasaṃghaśca lāṅgalītyādayastathā || 27 || iti śrībrahmao mahāo śīkṛṣṇajanmakhao uttao nāradanāo rukmiṇyudvāhe ṣaḍadhikaśatatamo'dhyāyaḥ || 106 ||

English translation

Marriage of Revati and Balarama Narayana said- In the meantime the valorous king, KakudmT arrived from Brahmaloka in search for a suitable groom for his daughter. He gave away in marriage his daughter named Revati who possessed beauty unequal in the three worlds, adorned with all the ornaments, having quite a youthful body to Baladeva quite playfully. She was bom in Satyayuga and had seen twenty seven yugas.

He gave away his daughter in marriage to Balarama in the presence of the sages, gods and Indra and also gave away three lakhs of elephant in dowry. The dowry included ten lakhs of horses, a lakh of chariots, a lakh of slave-girls adorned with the gem-studded ornaments, a lakh of diamonds, a lakh of gems, a crores of gold coins, beautiful costumes sanctified by fire, the jewels, rubies and other diamonds. The king Kakudml handing on his daughter Revati in marriage to Balarama mounted on a gem-studded chariot and went back to Kundinapura.

After the completion of the marriage, Devaki, RohinT, Yasoda, Aditi, Diti entered the house together with RevatT who was bom out of the amsa of LaksmI.

Devaki the spouse of Vasudeva served the Brahmanas with food and the riches, performing the welfare ceremony.

Thereafter the gods, the sages, the king with their armies delightfully reached the city of The four warriors guarding the gate included Rukml, Sisupala, valorous Dantavaktra and Salva who was well-versed in the warfare as well as illusion, the prince Rukml was anxious for a war holding all the weapons. He was enraged finding the army of Krsna and then hearing at the gods and the sages, he spoke aloud harsh words, which were echoed in the sky.

Rukml said- The deeds performed at a time or the moves of the destiny cannot be stopped by anyone otherwise what to speak in the assembly of the gods.

In order to marry Rukmini, the beautiful damsel who is suitable for the gods, a cowherds son of Nanda is arriving with the sages.

The cowherds is the lover of the cowherdesses and consumes always the left-over of the cowherds, his caste is unknown nor does he know anything about the food or the love- Everybody found the city to be quite beautiful which was surrounded by seven deep moats and seven boundary walls with hundred gates.

Visvakarma had built the outer gate of the city with various gems and jewels which was witnessed by all the people of the marriage party.

The gate was guarded by four great warriors.

He is neither the son of a king nor a sage, he was bom of Vasudeva, Ksatriya and was brought up by a Vaisya.

The wicked person killed a woman during his childhood. By enjoying the conjugal pleasures With him Kubja died, together with the By killing a king one earns Brahmahatya and this Krsiia killed the religious king Kamsa in Salva said- O god. there is nothing untrue in whatever has been spoken by Rukml, how can the cowherd of Nanda become the husband of Sisupala said- what more surprise could be there in the universe that Brahma and other gods; and the sons to Brahma have arrived here at the command of a human being.

Dantavaktra said- A Brahmana is always greedy and the gods are always graceful to the devotees but why have the sons of Brahma arrived here at the command of the son of Nanda? On hearing the words of these people, all the gods, the sages and the kings besides Balarama were enraged.
