Sourceश्रीराधिकोवाच ।। कथितो भवता मह्यं दर्पभङ्गः श्रुतो हरेः ।। दर्पभङगं रवेश्चापि श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ।। १ ।। श्रीकृष्ण उवाच ।। एकदैवोदयं कृत्वा रविरस्तं जगाम ह ।। माली सुमाली दैत्येन्द्रौ दीप्तिं कर्तुं समुद्यतौ ।। २ ।। महासंपन्मदोन्मत्तौ शंकरस्य वरेण च ।। तयोश्च प्रभया रात्रिर्न भवेदिति सुन्दरि ।। ३ ।। रुष्टः सूर्यः स्वशूलेन तौ जघानावलीलया।। पतितौ सूर्यशूलेन मूर्च्छितौ धरणीतले ।। ४ ।। भक्तापायं च विज्ञाय शंकरो भक्तवत्सलः ।। आगत्य जीवयामास महाज्ञानेन तौ विभुः ।। ५ ।। तौ च नत्वा शिवं भक्त्या जग्मतुर्निजमन्दिरम् ।। दुद्राव च महादेवः सूर्यं हन्तुं रुषा ज्वलन् ।। ६ ।। दृष्ट्वा संहारकर्तारं जिघांसन्तं हरं रविः ।। भिया पलायमानश्च ब्रह्माणं शरणं ययौ ।। ७ ।। दुद्राव च महादेवो ब्रह्मणो निलयं रुषा ।। शूलमत्यर्थमुद्यम्य कालकालो विधेर्विधिः ।। ८ ।। दृष्ट्वा ब्रह्मा हरं रुष्टं तुष्टाव परमेश्वरम् ।। चतुर्वक्त्रेण वेदोक्तस्तोत्रेण जगतां पतिः ।। ९ ।। ब्रह्मोवाच ।। प्रसीद दक्षयज्ञघ्न सूर्यं मच्छरणागतम् ।। त्वयैव सृष्टं सृष्टेश्च समारम्भे जगद्गुरो ।। 4.48.१० ।। आशुतोष महाभाग प्रसीद भक्तवत्सल ।। कृपया च कृपासिन्धो रक्ष रक्ष दिवानिशम् ।। ११ ।। ब्रह्मस्वरूप भगवन्सृष्टिस्थित्यन्तकारण ।। स्वयं रविं च निर्माय स्वयं संहर्तुमिच्छसि ।। १२ ।। स्वयं ब्रह्मा स्वयं शेषो धर्मः सूर्यो हुताशनः ।। इन्द्रचंद्रादयो देवास्त्वत्तो भीताः परात्पर ।। १३ ।। ऋषयो मुनयश्चैव त्वां निषेव्य तपोधनाः ।। तपसां फलदाता त्वं तपस्त्वं तपसां फलम् ।। १४ ।। इत्येवमुक्त्वा ब्रह्मा तं सूर्यमानीय भक्तितः ।। प्रीत्या समर्पयामास शङ्करे दीनवत्सले ।। १५ ।। शंभुस्तमाशिषं कृत्वा विधिं नत्वा जगद्विधिः ।। प्रसन्नवदनः श्रीमानालयं प्रययौ मुदा ।। १६ ।। इति धातृकृतं स्तोत्रं संकटे यः पठेन्नरः ।। भयात्प्रमुच्यते भीतो बद्धो मुच्येत बन्धनात् ।। १७ ।। राजद्वारे श्मशाने च मग्नपोते महार्णवे ।। स्तोत्रस्मरणमात्रेण मुच्यते नात्र संशयः ।। १८ ।। इति श्रीब्रह्मवैवर्ते महापुराणे श्रीकृष्णजन्मखण्डे नारायणनारदसंवादे श्रीकृष्णराधासंवादे अष्टचत्वारिंशोऽध्यायः ।। ४८ ।।
śrīrādhikovāca || kathito bhavatā mahyaṃ darpabhaṅgaḥ śruto hareḥ || darpabhaṅagaṃ raveścāpi śrotumicchāmi tattvataḥ || 1 || śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca || ekadaivodayaṃ kṛtvā ravirastaṃ jagāma ha || mālī sumālī daityendrau dīptiṃ kartuṃ samudyatau || 2 || mahāsaṃpanmadonmattau śaṃkarasya vareṇa ca || tayośca prabhayā rātrirna bhavediti sundari || 3 || ruṣṭaḥ sūryaḥ svaśūlena tau jaghānāvalīlayā|| patitau sūryaśūlena mūrcchitau dharaṇītale || 4 || bhaktāpāyaṃ ca vijñāya śaṃkaro bhaktavatsalaḥ || āgatya jīvayāmāsa mahājñānena tau vibhuḥ || 5 || tau ca natvā śivaṃ bhaktyā jagmaturnijamandiram || dudrāva ca mahādevaḥ sūryaṃ hantuṃ ruṣā jvalan || 6 || dṛṣṭvā saṃhārakartāraṃ jighāṃsantaṃ haraṃ raviḥ || bhiyā palāyamānaśca brahmāṇaṃ śaraṇaṃ yayau || 7 || dudrāva ca mahādevo brahmaṇo nilayaṃ ruṣā || śūlamatyarthamudyamya kālakālo vidhervidhiḥ || 8 || dṛṣṭvā brahmā haraṃ ruṣṭaṃ tuṣṭāva parameśvaram || caturvaktreṇa vedoktastotreṇa jagatāṃ patiḥ || 9 || brahmovāca || prasīda dakṣayajñaghna sūryaṃ maccharaṇāgatam || tvayaiva sṛṣṭaṃ sṛṣṭeśca samārambhe jagadguro || 4.48.10 || āśutoṣa mahābhāga prasīda bhaktavatsala || kṛpayā ca kṛpāsindho rakṣa rakṣa divāniśam || 11 || brahmasvarūpa bhagavansṛṣṭisthityantakāraṇa || svayaṃ raviṃ ca nirmāya svayaṃ saṃhartumicchasi || 12 || svayaṃ brahmā svayaṃ śeṣo dharmaḥ sūryo hutāśanaḥ || indracaṃdrādayo devāstvatto bhītāḥ parātpara || 13 || ṛṣayo munayaścaiva tvāṃ niṣevya tapodhanāḥ || tapasāṃ phaladātā tvaṃ tapastvaṃ tapasāṃ phalam || 14 || ityevamuktvā brahmā taṃ sūryamānīya bhaktitaḥ || prītyā samarpayāmāsa śaṅkare dīnavatsale || 15 || śaṃbhustamāśiṣaṃ kṛtvā vidhiṃ natvā jagadvidhiḥ || prasannavadanaḥ śrīmānālayaṃ prayayau mudā || 16 || iti dhātṛkṛtaṃ stotraṃ saṃkaṭe yaḥ paṭhennaraḥ || bhayātpramucyate bhīto baddho mucyeta bandhanāt || 17 || rājadvāre śmaśāne ca magnapote mahārṇave || stotrasmaraṇamātreṇa mucyate nātra saṃśayaḥ || 18 || iti śrībrahmavaivarte mahāpurāṇe śrīkṛṣṇajanmakhaṇḍe nārāyaṇanāradasaṃvāde śrīkṛṣṇarādhāsaṃvāde aṣṭacatvāriṃśo'dhyāyaḥ || 48 ||
English translation

In the meantime ^iva getting immensely annoyed started following. SHrya in order to destroy him.
SQrya realised that Siva, the destroyer of the universe himself intends to destroy him. The panic-stricken Shrya rushed to Brahma and took refuge with him.
Thereafter, ^iva carrying the trident attacked the place of Brahma. Siva happens to be the death for the death and is also Brahma for Finding lord ^iva having been annoyed he started offering prayer by vedic hymns to him from his four mouths.
Brahma said- O teacher of the universe, you are the destroyer of the yajna of Daksa and creator of the entire universe, therefore, you be pleased with Shrya who has taken refuge with You are graceful on devotees, O virtuous one, you get pleased easily and are the ocean of mercy be pleased with us and protect Stirya.
O lord, you are the form of Brahman and are responsible for the preservation and destruction.
The sun had been created by you and now you yourself intend to destroy it.
You are yourself Brahma, Sesa, Dharma, Stirya and Agni, You are the one who is beyond everything, the moon and all other gods are afraid of you.
