Look, companion—see this burst of beauty! A new flower pavilion has been made, captivating the heart. Its windows stand open and graceful doors face all four directions; a canopy of blossoms spreads out as beauty itself. Upon the flower-seat are the dear lovers. Their lovely adornment is like Love’s tender assault. Mingling together, the companions array them in flower ornaments. Who could reach the far shore of such boundless beauty? On every side companions serve with trays of provisions: fly-whisks, fans, a parasol, and sprays of perfume. One offers betel, another a fragrant sprig; another, intoxicated by the vision, sheds streams of tears from her eyes. ‘Mod’ offers himself to his own mistress Sia, who has brought him into relationship with the Treasure of Compassion.
