Shrutakirti shines beside Shatrughna, and incomparable Urmila beside dear Lakshmana. How perfectly it all appears—as a jewel shines within a ring! Snehalata says: “Keep them here in Mithila all three hundred and sixty days, and let every month possess a fifth lunar day just like this one!”
Pada 79
Friend, how many virtues of Providence can I sing today? As our fair Kishori is an ocean of beauty, so has she received a fitting partner who delights the eyes. As Mandavi is a graceful swan and a chakori to Sita's moonlike face, so does she rejoice on beholding Bharata, lost in love. As are the daughters Urmila and virtuous Shrutakirti, so install Lakshmana and Shatrughna within your heart, friend. Seeing this affection, Videha has lost all sense of self. Let everyone preserve this love forever and never forget it, friend.
Pada 80
Beneath the jewel-studded pavilion shines the charming dark bridegroom. Upon his lovely head is a golden, gem-set sehra; jeweled pendants hang beside his ears. Curls gleam upon his dark face like the young of serpents. His lovely wedding crown shines above, its curving beauty stealing the heart. Dear friend, such a handsome groom could exist nowhere else.
Pada 81
The pair of Rama and Janaki shines resplendent: the bridegroom is dark and beautiful as a rain-laden lotus-cloud, while the bride's body is radiantly fair.
