Gem-studded golden bracelets, pleasing and curved, were fastened around his wrists, as though they were instruments of enchantment devised to conquer the hearts of every young woman. A jeweled girdle woven like a net was drawn tightly about his formidable waist. Great golden armlets encircled his arms, and a lovely green garland adorned his breast. Fragrant yellow brocaded slippers quietly aroused longing in every heart. His feet, adorned with anklets and crimson mahāvar, made the body tremble at their sight.

Rama's face, the abode of every joy, shattered the pride of millions of Kamas. At the sight of him, rasa rained into every heart as though his body itself were a raincloud. When the Lord ate paan and spoke with his companions, whichever way he looked, everyone forgot body and mind; his glance purchased their life and heart without a price.

Dohā: Who could describe Rama's incomparable bridegroom attire, when even Shiva, Sanaka, and the other sages gaze upon it without finding satisfaction?

Thus Raghunandana and the four royal darlings, handsomely adorned, appeared with his younger brothers. Full of excitement, they mounted their horses, their bodies arrayed in ornaments. The four Raghu princes were as dear to their father as life itself. Mounting their horses with their companions, the intoxicated princes set out with Rama. Attendants called their names and proclaimed auspicious praises. Fly-whisks waved swiftly on both sides while companions held canopies above their heads.

To Rama's right rode Sri Lakshminidhi with his companions. He made his restless horse show its paces, delighting every heart. The mount of Raghunandana, whose very name is revered throughout the world, moved with such beauty and excellence that the heart rejoiced to describe it.
