O greatest of all, You have repeatedly protected us from death by poisoned water, from the serpent demon, from rain and wind, from lightning and fire, from the bull, Maya's son, and fear on every side. Jīva Gosvāmī's Krama-sandarbha In the compound beginning with "poison," vṛṣa-mayātmajāt means "from Vatsāsura, the son of Vṛṣa, and from Vyomāsura, the son of Maya." Bhāgavata 10.31.5

O foremost of the Vṛṣṇis, Your lotus hand grants fearlessness to those who approach Your feet in fear of worldly existence. Beloved, it fulfills desire and holds Śrī's hand. Place it upon our heads. Jīva Gosvāmī's Krama-sandarbha "From fear of worldly existence" includes fear of everything connected with that existence. You have brought every treasure in Your own Gokula under Your control and directly take the hand of Śrī herself. It is that hand of Yours which the gopīs ask You to place upon their heads.

Beloved, Your appearance among the people of Vraja and the forest utterly destroys their suffering and brings auspiciousness to the whole universe. We have made longing for You our very self. Please grant us even a little of that which destroys the heartache of Your own people. Jīva Gosvāmī's Krama-sandarbha One may ask: What are those pangs of the heart, and what would destroy them? The gopīs answer with the verse beginning, "He moves through Vraja," together with the words beginning, "that of Yours." His charming gestures themselves are the pangs, and the means of destroying them is precisely the gentle placing of His feet upon their breasts. This is why they have repeatedly prayed for that very gift.
