Third Sarga
When the delight of Gokula had gone to the cowshed, the queen of the cowherd settlement, anxious to prepare the foods He would eat, addressed everyone in the household. (1)

Although the members of the household were already absorbed in their respective duties and entangled in the net of love for Him, their mistress, whose mind was bathed in a flood of the nectar of affection rising for her son, instructed them as follows. (2)

'Bring greens, roots, flowers, split pulses, fruits and leaves; ginger, ground black gram, souring juice, dried ginger, black pepper, turmeric, moon-white sugar, cumin, and cream; tamarind, asafoetida, the three aromatic spices, well-churned cakes, rock salt, Balarāma's favorite grain, oil, wheat flour, ghee, yogurt, tulasī, coriander seed, and fine rice.
