ठग ठाकुर काकरी कठिन कंट कुसक पंक पर अंकन पागे। लाभ लोभ लालच अपलक्षण पाप पीर पाखंडन दागे॥ १ ॥ अनल अनिल जल थल एकेचर गोचर परचर बिघ्न बिरागे। जाग्रत स्वप्न मनोरथ मादक माया मोह की मर गई बागे। कृपानिवास कहे मोहिं लागो जानकी बर पागो अनुरागो॥ २ ॥ ३९ ॥
Fresh English translation
Fraud, oppressive powers, hard thorns, foul grass, mud, and every clinging stain fall away. Gain-seeking, greed, craving, bad omens, sin, pain, and the brands of hypocrisy are burned off. Fire, wind, water, land, creatures moving alone, within reach, or beyond reach, and every obstacle lose their force. Waking fantasies, dreams, intoxicating ambitions, illusion, and delusion—their whole garden has withered. Says Kripanivasa: I have been struck and marked by love for Janaki's bridegroom.
