Fresh English translation

A cord now binds me to Rama, so I have no fear of the world. I will not turn back: whether one person speaks or a hundred thousand, why calculate what lies ahead or behind? The world's moonlight lasts only four days; in the end everyone must die. I have examined self-interested relatives and family—what refuge can meeting them provide? Those who spend a lifetime bearing the burdens of caste-stage, lineage, duty, action, and vows still fill their days with sorrow. Fools drown in bad company, while the company of saints carries one across. The guru revealed the Lord of Sita and taught me to abandon every other device and hold him in my heart. Says Kripanivasa: I found the nectar of Rama when I grasped the guru's instruction firmly.
