Chapter Five — The Unity of Saketa and Goloka

Goloka-Sāketa-samādi-bhāvaṃ mune kadāpi bhedo nahi Rāghavasya,
Ubhau tu viśrāma-nivāsa-dhāmnī parasparāvāsa-śabda-śāstrilāsāt. (82)

O sage, there is never any real division within Raghava between Goloka and Saketa. They are mutually indwelling abodes of divine repose, distinguished in scripture only according to the particular play being revealed.

Asmād rāsādi-bhūtānāṃ nānā-bhedena rāso bhaviṣyati,
Jñātvaivaṃ rasikāḥ sarve ramante kathayanti ca. (83)

From Rama’s primordial rāsa all the many differentiated modes of sacred love come forth. Knowing this, rasika devotees delight wherever they dwell and speak of those divine moods in the same spirit.

Asmin mahārāsa-rasotsavāya mano ’niviṣṭaṃ rasikāgraṇīśaḥ,
Vidhau niṣedhe durite sukarmāṇo na bādhyate taṃ yathā sadāgatiḥ. (84)

The foremost rasika whose mind is wholly absorbed in this great festival of Rama’s rāsa is no longer confined by ritual injunction and prohibition, merit and fault. Like the wind moving freely everywhere, such a devotee is not bound by them.
