Chapter Three — The Source of the Worlds
Sita and Rama shone upon the beautiful cintamani throne, whose radiance bewildered the eyes like a divine sun rising from a lotus. (27, completed)
Tayoḥ kaṭākṣa-mātreṇa brahmāṇḍānāṃ sahasraśaḥ,
Āvirbhāvas tirobhāvo bhavaty api na saṃśayaḥ. (28)
By a single sidelong glance from the Divine Couple, thousands upon thousands of universes arise and disappear. Of this there is no doubt.
Mahāśambhu-sahasrasya mahābrahma-śatasya ca,
Sṛṣṭi-sthiti-layānāṃ ca kartā Śrī-Raghunandanaḥ. (29)
Sri Raghunandana is the source of thousands of Mahashambhus and hundreds of Mahabrahmas, and the cause of their creation, preservation, and dissolution.
Ramate Sītayā sārdhaṃ premṇā prema-rasāspadaḥ,
Hāsya-lāsya-kaṭākṣaiś ca modayan Janakātmajām. (30)
Rama, the very abode of love’s rasa, sported lovingly with Sita, delighting Janaka’s daughter through laughter, graceful play, and sidelong glances.
Asṛjad viśva-sṛk suvrata-sabhā-manasodbhavam,
Durnivāraṃ sucārv-aṅgaṃ Ratyā saha Raghūttamaḥ. (31)
Then Raghuttama, creator of the universe, brought forth from his mind the irresistible, exquisitely formed god of love together with Rati.
