Chapter One — The Secret Enters the Heart
Pāvanaṃ sarva-sādhūnāṃ rasikānāṃ ca jīvanam,
Na deyaṃ kasyacid etat prāṇāt priyataram mahat. (13)

Yac chrutvā niyataṃ vāso Goloke nātra saṃśayaḥ,
Ayodhyādhipatiḥ śrīmān Rāmo rājīva-locanaḥ. (14)

Jānakīyā saha saṃprītaḥ krīḍā-rasa-vilampaṭaḥ,
Mādhurya-sukha-saṃpanna uvāca Janakātmajām. (15)

Gacchatāṃ Sarayū-tīraṃ mano me tvaryate ’calam,
Ity uktvā tāṃ kare dhṛtvā jagāma Raghunandanaḥ. (16)
“Let us go to the bank of the Sarayu; my mind longs intensely for it.” Saying this, Raghunandana took her by the hand and set out.
