Chapter Six — Conclusion and the Beginning of a Vedic Note

Having become free of doubt and wholly fulfilled, Agastya received Hanuman’s command and returned to his hermitage surrounded by the assembly of sages. (59, completed)

Thus ends the Sixth Chapter, “The Relationship with Sita and Rama,” the essence of every essence, in the supremely secret Śrī Hanumat Saṃhitā, in the dialogue between Hanuman and Agastya.

May it be offered to glorious Janakanandini and Raghunandana.

Thus Sri Janakisharan Ji Maharaj (Madhukar), devoted to drinking the nectar of the lotus feet of Sri Swami Siyasharan Ji Maharaj (Madhukar), ornament of the lineage of the infinitely glorious Swami Sri Agradevacharya, completes the Sixth Chapter of the Śrī Hanumat Saṃhitā with the Śrī Sītārāma-rahasya-prakāśikā commentary.

A Vedic Note on Hanuman — Ṛgveda 10.64.7

Pra vo vāyuṃ ratha-yujaṃ purandhiṃ stomebhiḥ,
Kṛṇudhvaṃ sakhyāya pūṣaṇam;
Te hi devasya Savituḥ savīmani,
Kratuṃ sacante sacitaḥ sacetasaḥ.

Bring forward Vayu, yoked to the chariot and rich in wisdom; honour the nourisher with hymns for the sake of friendship. In the divine impulsion of Savitar, the conscious companions unite themselves with sacred resolve.

The Rahasya-mārtaṇḍa commentary begins: Rama now explains his intended meaning. Among the monkeys, the foremost is Hanuman—the chariot-bearing embodiment and portion of Vayu, dear to Rama as his own life and brought forward for the work of sacred friendship. In another esoteric reading, he is Charushila herself, the principal intimate portion of Sita, appearing here in a monkey form for this divine purpose. The explanation continues on the following leaf.
