Passage 1
Lakṣmaṇa said: I have seen your many līlās, joined with every rasa. Your form is itself what is called rasa; this is Brahman itself, without doubt.
Passage 2
Erotic, heroic, compassionate, fierce, and the other rasas are limbs of that one eternal and abiding reality whose form is conscious bliss.
Passage 3
Its distinctions arise through the differing movements of the inner faculty. You are the lover who follows Sahajā, whose form is supreme bliss.
Passage 4
In the Pramoda forest and lovely Citrakūṭa, more beautiful than millions of Love-gods, you sport together with Ramā.
Passage 5
For this very purpose you, the Eternal One, became manifest upon earth, as did Sahajānandinī, the beauty of Pramodavana.
Passage 6
Assuming many forms, she delights you, Lord; thus this bliss of līlā-rasa has attained full solidity and permanence.
Passage 7
I am the witness of that—the imperishable Brahman made of your radiance. You appoint me to each place and role, master of divine play.
Passage 8
Assuming each appropriate form, I became an attendant and element of the līlā. In the mango forest I was the grove of mango trees.
Passage 9
In the aśoka forest I was the grove of aśoka trees, their flower clusters and bees, and the tender shoots of beautiful radiance.
Passage 10
I was the cool, fragrant, gentle breeze carrying the touch of sandalwood, and the sweet-voiced parrots, cuckoos, peacocks, and other birds.
Passage 11
I was the seasons, beginning with spring, and the lovely sandal fragrance and moonlight. By your appointment I became everything here in every form. Source note: The photographed edition sets the first line densely as ऋतवस्ते वसन्ताद्याश्चन्दरचन्दनचन्द्रिकाः. The root is retained without silent regularization; the English follows its sequence of seasons, sandal, and moonlight.
Passage 12
How then could I endure separation from you, best of the Raghus? Having previously drunk nectar, must I now drink virulent poison?
Passage 13
What path could I take, Lord, if I were bereft of you? The Lord knows all and discerns what should and should not be done. Source note: The source visibly prints the unusual opening form आत्रमिष्यामि. Its exact morphology is uncertain, but the appeal about what Lakṣmaṇa could do when separated from Rāma is clear from the sentence and context; the root is not conjecturally replaced.
Passage 14
As the hero, you gave supreme joy at Viśvāmitra's sacrificial ground and again in the encounter with Bhārgava. Source note: The photographed first half is irregularly set as The translation follows the clearly named heroic episodes without silently rewriting the difficult printed segment.
Passage 15
In the crushing of Subāhu, manifesting a thousandfold Rāma-form, and in the destruction of the rākṣasas at Laṅkā, you sported as the hero.

Passage 21

Passage 22

Rāma, it is unfitting for you to behold me, your devotee, in pain; yet day and night my agony is like that produced by a thunderbolt's fall.
Passage 23
Even from afar I infer how vast and incomparable is the happiness born of union with you, the ground of a devotee's realization. The sorrow born of supreme love will be equally vast—what multitudes of births could scarcely experience will be endured in a single moment.
Passage 24

Passage 25
For my great offense I am certainly punishable in every way; yet even here, may contact with your lotus feet never depart from me.

May I take birth as an animal, bird, vine, shrub, tree, or any other form, so long as in each place I remain joined to your lotus feet.

Passage 30

Passage 35
