The Establishment of the Great Sages

Global chapter 146 of 514117 passagesSource PDF pages 10961105
Chapter context and opening material

Daśaratha presents to Rāma the sages who accompanied him home and asks that each lineage receive a fitting hermitage near Ayodhyā. He explains that these seers abandoned their former dwellings after discerning something of Rāma's hidden greatness. Rāma establishes them throughout the natural Pramoda forest, reveals Ayodhyā's identity with his eternal pleasure-grove, and foretells their ultimate entry into the intimate service of Sahajā and Rāma. This concluding chapter completes the Pūrva-khaṇḍa. Daśaratha Presents Gautama and the Ancient Lineages
