Source control note Chapter 138 occupies registered source leaves 1009–1018 of the 1975 Pūrva-khaṇḍa volume (physical PDF pages 1010–1019). Its heading begins below the second Chapter 137 colophon on physical page 1010; its own colophon and Chapter 139’s opening occur on physical page 1019. The witness moves directly from printed passage 23 to 25, so passage 24 is represented as an explicit lacuna and no text is invented. The remaining printed sequence continues through 106. The ten source leaves were collated in ordered batches, the gap and boundary were checked directly against the scan, and the English is a fresh direct translation of the scan-controlled Sanskrit.
