Textual notes The chapter begins on source leaf 438 below Chapter 70’s colophon, occupies leaves 438–441, and ends with its colophon on physical PDF page 442. All thirty-five passages were transcribed directly from the 1975 scan; the two archive OCR streams were used only as locating and typing aids. The scan resolves the badly degraded opening as विहङ्गमसमानीतप्रियाचित्रावलोकनैः ... कृच्छ्रं: Rāma passes the days with difficulty by viewing pictures of his beloved brought by birds. Passage 4’s printed masculine अमुं is retained although its contextual referent is feminine, for which regular Sanskrit would be अमूम्. The dense touchstone simile in passage 14 and the unusual printed प्रत्युद्यूत in passage 27 are translated closely without silent emendation. No modern translation was used.
