Having spoken thus, the sage-form gopīs disappeared. Rāma, who had been surrounded by them, was left alone. --- Thus ends the fifty-fifth chapter, “The Great Secret of the Śrī Rāma-gītā within Rāma’s Journey,” in the dialogue of Brahmā and Bhuśuṇḍa in the account of the rāsa journey in the Śrīmad Ādi Rāmāyaṇa. Textual notes The chapter begins near the foot of source leaf 376, occupies leaves 376–380, and ends with its complete colophon on physical PDF page 381. Every root line was transcribed directly from the 1975 scan; archive OCR was used only to locate and type candidate readings. The edition contains fifty-four actual passages but prints 2 twice, prints 35 as २३५, and prints the final 54 as १४. The headings and markers above are editorially sequential and preserve every passage. Passage 11 retains the dense transmitted भवाद्भवदीक्षाबलेन; passage 19 retains the difficult सुखभूहा. The English gives their secure contextual sense. Passages 5–7, 9, and 12 contain extended printed meters under single source numbers; no line is split into a new passage. Passage 21 preserves the edition's grammatically irregular यो तौ (the sense requires dual “those two”), and passage 36 reads the transmitted sage-name सूनमथन.
