Passage 75
कदाचिच्छ्रीपरिकरो भक्तानां दिव्यविग्रहः। चिल्लोकवत्स्वरूपेणावतीर्येह प्रवर्तते॥७५॥
“At times my glorious retinue, the divine embodiment of the devotees, descends here in a form resembling the realm of consciousness and carries on its activity.” --- Thus ends the fifty-third chapter, “The Great Secret of the Śrī Rāma-gītā within Rāma’s Journey,” in the dialogue of Brahmā and Bhuśuṇḍa in the Śrīmad Ādi Rāmāyaṇa. Textual notes The chapter begins on source leaf 365, occupies leaves 365–371, and ends on physical PDF page 372. Every root line was transcribed directly from the 1975 scan, with archive OCR used only to locate and type candidate readings. The edition contains seventy-five actual numbered passages but an irregular printed sequence: it omits 7, prints 36 twice, and omits 55. The headings and markers above are editorially sequential: printed 8–35 become passages 7–34; the first and second printed 36 become passages 35 and 36; and printed 56–76 become passages 55–75. The colophon also identifies the chapter in words as the fifty-third but prints the numeral 54. The following chapter’s apparatus explicitly warns that chapter-numbering confusion begins here. One unnumbered half-verse follows printed passage 4 before the speaker changes; it is preserved with passage 4 rather than silently dropped. Passages 35, 36, 44, and 64 each contain four printed metrical lines under one source number. Passage 48 preserves the scan’s difficult भ्रामररोत्तमौ, passage 52 preserves its syntactically compressed second line, and passage 67 preserves its dense printed sandhi. Their English follows the most secure contextual sense without pretending the transmitted wording is smoother than it is.
