Textual notes The chapter begins on source leaf 339, occupies leaves 339–342, and ends with passage 42 and its complete colophon on physical PDF page 343. All forty-two passage numbers are sequential in the edition. Passage 10 preserves the printed list of six Rāmāyaṇas, including the difficult sixth title काप्यं, without silently replacing it with a better-known work. Passage 13 corrects the transcription aid’s malformed encoding to the scan’s चित्तसंशुद्ध्या. Passage 16 follows the scan’s माङ्गल्यकैः, not the aid’s माङ्कल्यकैः. Passage 34 corrects the aid’s nonsensical भार्वैः to the scan’s भावैः. Passage 39 preserves the compressed printed तथामुक्तमविश्रान्तं; the English conveys its secure instruction to contemplate Rāma as free and ceaselessly present without claiming certainty about the compound’s exact division.
