Textual notes The chapter begins on source leaf 320, occupies leaves 320–322, and ends with passage 38 and its complete colophon on physical PDF page 323. All thirty-eight passage numbers are sequential in the edition. The scan controls भवद्वियोगजैवार्तिर्मम against the auxiliary transcription’s corrupt भवद्वियोगजैवार्त्तिमर्म in passage 5, इयं हि मे against इयं हि से in passage 11, वेदोद्धारार्थमुदधौ कुर्वंश्चरितम् against the aid’s वेदोद्धरार्थमुदधौ कुर्वञ्चरितम् in passage 13, प्रादुर्भवाम्यहम् against प्रादुर्भावाभ्यहम् in passage 15, and अनुगृह्णामि against अनुग्रहामि in passage 21. Passage 17 follows the scan’s स्थापनाकृतौ, not the aid’s स्थापनाकृता; passage 22 follows the scan’s म्लेच्छ, not म्लेछ. The accusative माङ्गल्यां in passage 1 and vocative मातर्माङ्गल्यके in passage 3 confirm that Māṅgalyā is feminine; the preceding chapter’s speaker label is accordingly retained as Māṅgalyā. The sequential avatāra account in passages 13–24 and the union-and-separation teaching in passages 26–29 are translated in full rather than summarized. Compounds and sandhi are otherwise normalized only where word division introduces no textual choice.
