Victory, victory to you who remove the anguish of the three worlds, whose form resembles a fresh rain cloud; treasury of every auspicious virtue, whose matchless beauty conquers the pride of millions of Cupids; the stream of nectarean rasa in whose gentle smile humbles the conceit of the autumn moon’s light; upon whose chest, reddened by the saffron from Kamalā’s breasts, the great Kaustubha shines, its mass of rays dispelling the darkness of the three worlds. Incomparable, eternal, desireless, beyond appearance, stainless, unchanging, eternally formed yet without qualities, embodied eternal bliss; beloved of those who possess nothing; the dust and pollen of whose lotus feet, served by the Lakṣmīs of millions of cosmic eggs, purify the surface of the earth; wearer of a fresh forest garland—Rāma, Śrī Rāma, Rāghava, Mukunda, Rāmacandra, Janārdana, Lord of the universe, Puruṣottama; two-armed bearer of bow, arrows, and other emblems; bearer of Śrīvatsa, great Person, supremely compassionate, mighty victor, great Lord; guardian of the conduct of noble people, best of the solar and Raghu lineages, descent who observes sacred bounds; dwelling within the small chamber that sustains the universe, all-pervading Supreme Self, indescribable, immeasurable, beyond reason; whose delicate sidelong glance agitates our minds and magnifies the great love within them—reverence, reverence to you.
Passage 2

We who dwell in the city upon heaven’s triple summit prayed to behold you, whose face gives joy at the mere sight. What pleasing service can we perform for you? Having seen this form of yours, beauty of the three worlds, we cannot move away from here even for a moment. From this day forward we shall remain your servants, washing your feet.
Passage 3
Reverence to you, finest of the beautiful and possessor of priceless virtues, whose form lies beyond even Brahmā’s speech and mind; immersed in the rasa of your own bliss; pure form clothed in youth; supreme rasika of the great play who brings a thousand Lakṣmīs under the spell of your līlā; friend of the twice-born, generous one, abode of saintly speech; Śrī Rāmacandra, whose moonlike face is adorned by a gentle smile foreshadowing the auspicious transformation soon to come upon the three worlds.
Passage 4
Having praised the Lord in this way, the Vedic revelations received his blessing and descended into cowherd homes on the far bank of the Sarayū.
Passage 5

Eager to serve Rāma, they took birth by the thousands in family after family of the Ābhīras who ruled those cowherd settlements.
Passage 6
Rāma is indeed the blessed Lord himself, the complete and glorious Puruṣottama. At that very moment, before the eyes of Kausalyā and Raghunātha—
Passage 7
he assumed an infant form and shone like an ordinary newborn. Seeing him thus, his two parents entered into supreme wonder.
Passage 8
“Ah! This body of the great Lord is a plaything for his līlā. Surely he will give us happiness as we dwell in the later years of life.” --- Thus ends the eleventh chapter, “The Hymn of the Vedic Revelations,” in the dialogue of Brahmā and Bhuśuṇḍa in the Śrīmad Ādi Rāmāyaṇa. Textual note The first three numbered units are extended prose invocations in the printed edition and remain prose here; they have not been mechanically forced into metrical lines. The apparatus glosses verse 2’s caraṇa-dhāvanīḥ as “those who wash the feet,” which governs the translation. The chapter contains eight verses. Its colophon ends with the chapter number eleven in double dandas; the source pipeline now excludes colophons before deriving terminal verse counts, repairing the former false total of eleven.
