…आज्ञा पाय निज-निज घोड़ों पर श्रीभरतादिक समस्त रघुवंशकुमार सवार हुए और सख्यसुखसागरजी के दक्षिण-वाम-पृष्ठभाग में हो के विलम्बित गति से चलि के अनन्त श्रीचक्रवर्तीजी के अष्ट भ्राताओं के द्वार पर आये। तिन्हके नाम श्रीबीरसिंहजी १, श्रीसूरसिंहजी २, श्रीरत्नभानुजी ३, श्रीसिंहजी ४, श्रीचन्द्रशेखरजी ५, श्रीजयशीलजी ६, श्रीविजयारिसिंहजी ७, श्रीप्रतापसिंहजी ८। ये आठों श्रीअजय महाराज के लघुभ्राता श्रीसुव्रतजी के पुत्र हैं और श्रीरामचन्द्रजी के पितृव्य-काका हैं। इन ही के सब पुत्र श्रीरघुनन्दनजी के मित्र हैं, जिनमें ज्येष्ठ ये आठों महामुख्य मित्र हैं। वहाँ पर उतर के वात्सल्यरसवारिधि श्रीबीरसिंहजी के गृह में गये। श्रीकाकासाहबजी लेने आगे आये। आप सबन्धु प्रणाम किये। आर्यजी सानन्द आशीर्वाद दे के भीतर ले गये। इन महाराज की पत्नी श्रीरतनकलाजी परम प्रीति से ललकि के चारों लालन को यथोचित आसनों पर बैठाय, सहितसमाज का परम सत्कार किया। मधुर मेवा-मिठाई खवाय, जल पिवाय, श्रीमुखों को पोंछि, पान-बीरा, अतर दे, माला पहिराय, आरती निछावर कर बलैयाँ लै-लै बदन बिलोकने लगीं। श्रीरामपितृव्यजी के भवन में छोटे-बड़े नारी-पुरुष सब कोई सखा-सहोदरसंयुक्त श्रीरामलाल शोभासिन्धु की छवि देख अति ब्रह्मानन्दसुख को पाये। तब श्रीशीलसिन्धुजी बोले कि ‘अब आज्ञा-मर्जी होय तो और सबों के यहाँ भी जाना है।’ सुनि के वे बोले, ‘लालासाहब, जाने को कैसे कहा जाय? किन्तु पधारिये, सबको आनन्द दीजिये।’ यह सुन उठ के यथोचित प्रणाम-जोहार करके पधारे। इसी प्रकार सबों के गृह में जाय-जाय आनन्द दे के श्रीप्रमोदवन में आये, जहाँ पञ्च वाटिकाओं का विभाग है। मध्य में श्रीचक्रवर्तीबाग है, उसके दक्षिण में श्रीरामबाग, तिसके दक्षिण में श्रीलक्ष्मणबाग और उत्तर में श्रीभरतबाग, तिसके उत्तर में श्री…

…permission, Bharata and all the princes of Raghu’s line mount their own horses. Riding slowly to the right, left, and rear of the ocean of friendship’s joy, they reach the gateways of the emperor’s eight brothers: Bīrasiṃha, Sūrasiṃha, Ratnabhānu, Siṃha, Candraśekhara, Jayaśīla, Vijayārisiṃha, and Pratāpasiṃha. These eight are sons of Suvrata, younger brother of King Ajaya, and therefore paternal uncles of Rāmacandra. All their sons are Raghunandana’s friends, of whom the eldest eight are his principal companions. They dismount and enter the house of Bīrasiṃha, ocean of paternal affection. Their uncle comes forward to receive them. The brothers bow; the elder blesses them joyfully and leads them inside. His wife Ratanakalā, overflowing with love, seats the four beloved sons appropriately and honours the entire assembly. She feeds them sweet dried fruits and confections, gives water, wipes their faces, offers betel, perfume, and garlands, circles ārati as an offering, wards away evil, and gazes repeatedly upon their faces. Every woman and man, young and old, in Rāma’s uncle’s house attains intense divine bliss by beholding the ocean of beauty Rāma together with his brothers and friends. The ocean of gracious conduct says, ‘If we have your permission, we must also visit everyone else.’ They answer, ‘Beloved prince, how could we tell you to leave? Yet please go and give joy to all.’ The brothers rise, exchange fitting bows and salutations, and depart. Visiting each house in this way and giving delight, they reach Pramodavana, divided into five gardens.
