…सेवा सफल करिये।’ तब श्रीप्रभु प्राणप्रियजी कृपायुत मन्द विहँसि श्रीभक्तिजू की ओर अवलोकि के सेवक पर कृपादृष्टि करि, आचमन लै के उन षट् पायसपात्रों में एक पात्र में से ग्रास श्रीमुख में देने लगे। जब तीन ग्रास पाये तब श्रीस्वामिनीजी ने उस पात्र को उठाय के श्रीभरतलालजी की ओर कृपादृष्टि करि अनुरागी जन के हाथ में धर देती भईं। प्रेमी श्रीभरतलालजी को अर्पण किया। ऐसे ही श्रीबन्धुवल्लभ प्रभु प्रत्येक पात्रों में से तीन-तीन ग्रास पावते हैं। तब श्रीस्वामिनीजी पात्रों को उठाय के प्रेमी के हाथ से श्रीलक्ष्मणजी को, श्रीशत्रुघ्नजी को, श्रीहनुमानजी आदि को देती भईं। तदुपरि श्रीजानकीवल्लभजी पञ्चम पात्र में से पञ्च ग्रास पाय के वह पात्र उठाय के श्रीसतीशिरोमणि प्रियाजी के हाथ में धर दिये और भ्राताओं से कहते भये, ‘हे तात! सब कोई पावो।’ सो आज्ञा शिर धरि सब कोई श्रीरामप्रसाद पावने लगे। तथा श्रीपतिव्रतपताकावती स्वामिनीजी ने भी प्रियतम की रुचि पाय प्राणनाथ की प्रसादी पावने लगीं। श्रीप्रभु के पावते समय में पूजक प्रेमीजन व्यजन करता भया। ऐसा चिन्तवन करै कि श्रीसीतारामजी समाज के सहित ये सब दिव्य पदार्थों का भोजन करि रहे हैं; यथा प्रथम दिव्य पायस, पुनि दाल-भात, गोघृत, केसर की कढ़ी-पकौड़ी, तथा लोकप्रसिद्ध शुद्ध स्वादिष्ट व्यञ्जन, अनेक प्रकार शाक—परवर, कदली, करेला इत्यादि—और पूरी, पूरणपूरी, कचौड़ी, पापड़ आदिक; पक्के आम, पके केला, पक्का कटहर, अमरूद, नारङ्गी, सेब, लीची, खिरनी और ऋतु-ऋतु के अनेक फल; तैसे ही आम, अदरख, कटहल, कागदी निम्बू आदिकों के अचार; आँवरा, सेब, नासपाती आदि के मुरब्बा; मालपुआ, मोहनभोग, खाजा, दहिबरा, बहुत प्रकार के मोदक, पेड़ा, करी बरफी, जलेबी, अमरती…

…make this service successful.’ The Lord, beloved of his devotees, smiles gently with compassion, looks toward Śrī Bhakti, and casts a gracious glance upon the servant. After sipping water, he begins to receive morsels from one of the six bowls of milk pudding. When he has taken three morsels, the Mistress lifts that bowl, looks graciously toward Bharata, and places it in the loving servant’s hands to offer him. The Lord beloved of his brothers likewise takes three morsels from each bowl; the Mistress then lifts each vessel and, through the servant’s hands, gives it to Lakṣmaṇa, Śatrughna, Hanumān, and the others. Jānakī’s beloved takes five morsels from the fifth bowl, places it in the hand of his beloved—the crown of faithful wives—and tells his brothers, ‘Dear ones, all of you partake.’ Holding the command upon their heads, they begin to receive Rāma’s prasāda. The Mistress, banner of fidelity, receives her beloved’s wish and also takes the remnants of the Lord of her life. While the Lord eats, the loving worshipper fans him. Contemplate Sītā, Rāma, and the whole assembly eating every divine dish: first milk pudding, then lentils and rice, cow’s ghee, saffron curry with fritters, and every renowned pure savoury preparation; many vegetables such as pointed gourd, plantain, and bitter gourd; purīs, stuffed sweet purīs, kachaurīs, and papads; ripe mangoes, bananas, jackfruit, guavas, oranges, apples, lychees, khirnī fruit, and the fruits of every season; pickles of mango, ginger, jackfruit, citron, and more; preserves of āṃvarā, apple, pear, and others; mālpūā, mohanbhoga, khājā, dahī-baṛā, many kinds of modaka, peṛā, creamy barfī, jalebī, and imartī…
