…जी सबों की ओर श्रीकृपादृष्टि करि कहते भये, ‘अब स्नान करना चाहिये। हे श्रीभरतलाल, श्रीलखनलाल! आप सब कोई स्नान-सन्ध्यादि नित्य करिके जेवनार करने को शीघ्र आओ।’ श्रीमुखवचनामृत शिर धरि चरणाभिवन्दन करिके पधारे और सर्व सभाजन यथोचित श्रीरघुनन्दनजी को आशीर्वाद-अभिवन्दन करि श्रीरामरूप हृदय में धरि के गये। तब प्रिया सहित श्रीरघुवंशभूषण परम विचित्र पालकी पर चढ़ि स्नानशाला के समीप आये। स्नानशाला की अधीश्वरी श्रीप्रेमतरङ्गिणीजी निज किंकरिन सहित आय आरती करि अर्घ्य देके मज्जनशाला में लिवाय गईं। श्रीमहाराज किशोर-किशोरीजी यान से उतरि आसन पर विराजे। तब श्रीरघुनन्दनजी सानन्द मन्द विहँसि बोले, ‘हे प्राणप्रिये! स्नान करना चाहिये।’ सो सुनि प्रियाजी सप्रेम कहती भईं, ‘हे प्रियंवद प्रभो! बहुत अच्छा।’ तब श्रीचन्द्रकलादि सखीवर्ग के सहित निज स्नानशाला को पधारीं। तब श्रीरघुनन्दनजी वस्त्र-विभूषण उतारे। श्रीभक्तिजी और भक्तिजन दिव्य सुगन्धशाली तैल-उबटनादि श्रीअङ्गों में तथा केशों में लगाने के पश्चात् फुहारा सरीखे यन्त्रों से सुगन्धजल की सूक्ष्म सहस्रों धारा श्रीअङ्ग पर गिरती भईं। तिन्हें बन्द कर दास-सखादि दोनों सेवोत्साही दिव्य मङ्गल-विग्रह की मालिश करि महामोद को पाये। तदुपरि श्रीभक्तिरसमण्डनजी जिस कुण्ड में श्रीसरयूजी की नहर लगी है तिसमें तीन गोता लगाय स्नान करि निकल आये। श्रीभक्तिजी और तदाश्रित जन भींजे महीन वस्त्रों से श्रीअङ्गों को पोंछि प्रथम सूत का वस्त्र दिये। तिसको पहिर के श्रीप्रभु भीजा वस्त्र त्याग किये। तब कांचनसूत्रयुत लालकिनारीदार दिव्य पीताम्बर धारण कराया। उसी के साथ सुवर्णसूत्ररचित बीच-बीच मणिजटित बन्दयुत विचित्र कटिसूत्र भी धारण कराया। फिर दिव्यासन…

…looks graciously upon everyone and says, ‘Now it is time to bathe. Bharata, Lakṣmaṇa—all of you should perform your daily bathing, twilight worship, and other duties, then return quickly for the meal.’ They place the nectar of his words upon their heads, bow at his feet, and depart. All the members of the assembly offer Raghunandana fitting blessings and salutations, hold Rāma’s form in their hearts, and leave. The ornament of Raghu’s line mounts an exquisite palanquin with his beloved and reaches the bathing palace. Premataraṅgiṇī, mistress of the bathing chamber, comes with her maids, performs ārati, offers the respectful water, and escorts the youthful royal Pair inside. After descending from the conveyance and sitting, Raghunandana smiles softly in delight and says, ‘Beloved of my life, we should bathe.’ She lovingly replies, ‘As my sweet-speaking Lord wishes,’ and goes with Candrakalā and the other companions to her private bathing chamber. Raghunandana’s clothes and ornaments are removed. Śrī Bhakti and the devotees anoint his limbs and hair with fragrant oil and cleansing paste; fountain-like devices then send a thousand fine streams of scented water over his body. When they are closed, servants and friends eager for service massage the auspicious divine form and taste supreme joy. The Lord, ornament of the rasa of devotion, enters the pool fed by a channel from Sarayū, immerses himself three times, and comes out. Śrī Bhakti and those who follow her dry his limbs with fine damp cloths and give him a first cotton garment; after putting it on he discards the wet cloth.
