…किये। सो अवलोकन करिके स्नेहसिन्धु बन्धुजी उठाय हर्षित हृदय में लगाय के सुखसिन्धु में मग्न करि के बैठ गये। और जब श्रीप्राणनाथजी उठते हैं तब श्रीजनकनन्दिनीजी भी सदा उठ खड़ी हो जाती हैं; तेऊ बैठ गईं। तब लखनलालजी श्रीस्वामिनीजी के चरणों में शिर धरि प्रणाम करि अभिमत आशीष पाय प्रभु के दक्षिण आसन पर विराज गये। तब श्रीभरतलालजी तथा श्रीशत्रुघ्नलालजी निज सखागण सङ्ग लिये और दासवर्गसहित मनोहर सज्जु तनुधारी श्रीहनुमानजी आये और निज-निज नामोच्चारणपूर्वक प्रणाम किये, यथा—‘अग्रज-पदपङ्कज-प्रेमाभिलाषी भरतकृत प्रणाम प्राप्त होय। ज्येष्ठ-सेवानिष्ठ शत्रुघ्नकृत पदवन्दना स्वीकार होय। रघुबीर-चरणानुचर हनुमतकृत चरणाभिवन्दन ग्रहण होय।’ इसी प्रकार से सब सखा-दासवर्ग प्रणाम करते भये। तब श्रीभरताग्रज सस्नेह सबको हृदय में लगाये। फिर सब कोई श्रीजनकनन्दिनीजी के पदपङ्कज में शिर धरि-धरि प्रणाम करि आशीष पाये। पुनि श्रीलखनलालजी सब से मिलि के यथोचित बैठाये—अर्थात् श्रीरामजी के दक्षिण श्रीभरतलालजी, तिनके दक्षिण श्रीलखनलालजी, तिनके दक्षिण श्रीशत्रुघ्नलालजी, तिनके दक्षिण कुछ तिरछे श्रीहनुमानजी बैठे; और सखा-दासवर्ग दोनों दिशि यथायोग्य अर्धचन्द्राकार मण्डल से बैठे। श्रीरामचन्द्र-मुखचन्द्र-सुधा-माधुरी को निज-निज लोचन-चकोर करि सप्रेम पान करि रहे हैं। श्रीमुख-दर्शनाभिलाषी जनवर्ग सबहीं को समान सुख-सन्तोष होता भया, तदपि शोभासुधा पान की सौगुनी प्यास बढ़ती भई। तब श्रीभरतलालजी तथा श्रीलखनलालजी के लाये मङ्गल थार श्रीदिव्यदम्पतीजी के सन्मुख धरे गये। तिन्हें सानन्द अवलोकन करते भये। श्रीभक्तिजू और श्रीरामानुरागी जन उठ के श्रीलखनलालजी के…

…which the ocean of affection beholds. The elder brother lifts Lakṣmaṇa up, joyfully embraces him, immerses him in the ocean of happiness, and sits again. Whenever her beloved rises, Janakanandinī too always stands, and she now sits with him. Lakṣmaṇa places his head at the Mistress’s feet, receives the blessing he desires, and sits on the seat to the Lord’s right. Bharata and Śatrughna arrive with their circles of friends, and Hanumān comes in his handsome, well-arrayed form together with the servants. Each announces his own name while bowing: ‘May the reverence of Bharata, who longs in love for his elder brother’s lotus feet, be received. May the foot-homage of Śatrughna, steadfast in serving the eldest, be accepted. May the salutation of Hanumān, follower of Raghubīra’s feet, be received.’ Friends and servants bow in the same way. Bharata’s elder brother lovingly embraces everyone. They each place their heads at Janakanandinī’s lotus feet, bow, and receive her blessing. Lakṣmaṇa greets them all and seats them appropriately: Bharata to Rāma’s right, Lakṣmaṇa to Bharata’s right, Śatrughna next, and Hanumān a little diagonally beyond him. Friends and servants sit on both sides in a fitting half-moon formation. Making their eyes into partridge birds, they lovingly drink the sweet nectar of the moon that is Rāmacandra’s face. Everyone who longed for that vision receives equal happiness and satisfaction, yet drinking the nectar of beauty multiplies their thirst a hundredfold.
