रैन गई सुखसैन, सुदैन है, रवि देखन मैन तिहारे । दास, सखा, सखि, भ्रात, पिता, गुरु, मातन के प्रिय प्राण अधारे । जानकि! जानकि-जीवनजू! मम जीवन! जागिये, जागिये प्यारे ॥२॥ हे आनन्दघन! रजनी बीत गई, जागि के दर्शन-जल दैके लोचन-चातकों की प्यास हरिये। हे श्रीसियारघुनन्दन युगलचन्द्रजी! निद्रा त्यागी के शोभासुधा पिवाय के लोचन-चकोरों को सुखी करिये। इत्यादिक विनय सुनि श्रीस्वामिनी रघुनन्दनदयालजी जागिके परस्पर केश-वस्त्रादिक सम्हारते भये और श्रीप्रभु के शिर पै स्वामिनीजी ताजटोपी अथवा जरतारी पाग धर देती भईं और प्रियतम प्रियाजी सामने विराज गये। तब श्रीभक्ति हितकारिणीजी परदा उघार देती भईं। आनन्दकन्द श्रीरघुनन्दनजी सहित श्रीस्वामिनीजी के युगल मुखचन्द्र को देखि ‘जय हो, जय हो! मङ्गल हो, मङ्गल हो!’ इस प्रकार अभिनन्दन-शब्द करिके सब कोई सप्रेम प्रणाम करि करि श्याम-गौर शोभा लखि लखि लोचन सुफल करने लगे। तब श्रीचारुशीला श्रीभक्तिजू मङ्गल थार, जिसमें पुष्पमाला, तुलसी, दिव्यफल, दधि-माखन, घृत-मधु, जवाङ्कुर, दूर्वा, अतर इत्यादि सब धरे हैं, सो साधक कर में देती भईं। दूसरा आप भी लेके श्रीयुगल मङ्गल-विग्रहजी के आगे चौकी पर धर देती भईं। श्रीराजीवलोचनजी दिव्य दृष्टि से देखते भये। भाविकजन युगल कमल के फूल लैके श्रीसीतारामचन्द्रजी को सुँघाय के करों में अर्पण करि कृतार्थ भया। तदुपरि परिकरजनों ने चन्दन-कांचन-रचित दिव्य वस्त्र-विधि युगल चौकी धरि दन्तधावन की तैयारी की। तब श्रीभक्ति प्रीतिरूपाजी की प्रार्थना से श्रीरघुनन्दन-जनकनन्दिनीजी भावुक और भक्तिजी के करावलम्बनपूर्वक पर्यङ्क से उतर उतर उन चौकियों पर विराजे। सेवाभिलाषी जन चाँदी के कोपर आगे धर दिया; श्रीभक्तिजी जल ढारने लगीं।

‘The night has gone; abandon pleasant sleep. The blessed day has come, and the sun longs to behold you. You are the beloved life-support of servants, friends, companions, brothers, father, gurus, and mothers. Jānakī! Life of Jānakī! My very life—awake, awake, beloved!’ O mass of bliss, the night has passed. Rise, pour out the water of your vision, and end the thirst of the eyes that wait like rain-birds. O twin moons, Sītā and Raghunandana, cast off sleep; let the partridge-like eyes drink the nectar of your beauty and become happy. Hearing such pleas, the Mistress and compassionate Raghunandana awaken and arrange one another’s hair and clothing. The Mistress places a jeweled crown-cap or gold-brocaded turban upon the Lord’s head, and the Lover and Beloved sit facing one another. Beneficent Śrī Bhakti opens the curtain. Seeing the two moonlike faces of the Mistress and blissful Raghunandana, everyone lovingly bows again and again, crying, ‘Victory! Auspiciousness!’ They fulfil their eyes by gazing repeatedly upon the dark and fair beauty. Śrī Bhakti, lovely in conduct, gives the practitioner an auspicious tray holding flower garlands, tulasī, divine fruits, curd and butter, ghee and honey, barley shoots, sacred grass, perfume, and the other articles. She takes a second tray herself and sets it on a low table before the auspicious Pair, while lotus-eyed Rāma looks on with divine vision. The contemplative servant offers twin lotuses for Sītā and Rāma to smell and then places them in their hands, becoming fulfilled. The attendants now set out two divine sandalwood-and-gold stools and prepare for cleansing the teeth. At Love-personified Bhakti’s prayer, Raghunandana and Janakanandinī descend from the couch, supported by the practitioner and Bhakti, and sit upon the stools. The servant eager for service places a silver basin before them, and Śrī Bhakti begins to pour water.
