मरजी मँगाइ गय भीतर करिन जाह जुहार। इक अली कर गहि लागि बुलावन को सुने समाचार॥ रघुबीर निकट बोलाइ बूझी कह्यो मातु संदेस। फेरे लषन को दल रह्यों सब कह्यो मातु संदेस ४१॥

After requesting permission, they went inside and offered obeisance there. Hearing the news of the summons, one companion took a hand and set about calling. Raghubir called the messenger near, asked, and heard the mother’s message. Lakshman’s troop was turned back, and the mother’s entire message was related. (41)
