Verse 40

इत देर जानी दसरथ राना मनहिं चिंता मान। धज ध्वज ढिंग पठय नाजर साजि सेना जान॥ संग सखा लषन समेत गज चढ़े चले सोज बनाइ। दल बीच राखि सुजान लषन लाल पहुँच जाइ ४०॥

Seeing how late it had grown, King Dasharatha became anxious at heart. He sent a superintendent, having arrayed the force with standards and banners. Together with the companions and Lakshman, they mounted elephants and set out with their equipment prepared; keeping wise Lakshman in the midst of the troop, they reached the beloved pair. (40)
