Seeing this new manner of play, joy swells in the companions’ hearts. The youth’s lotus eyes blossom as they behold the moon of Sita’s face. The beloved’s face is a water-born flower whose beauty is nectar, and the lover’s eyes are bees: drinking that rasa, they do not withdraw even for a moment, but remain there day and night. (23)
