बाढ्यो अधिक रस झूलना सखि छकी सब रस रूप । खसि बसन कंचुकि कसन छूटत टूटतहार अनूप ॥ सो मुक्तमाणि बिस्तरनपर कोमल चरण चुभि जाय । मय मानि लै सब दासिका जल मांझि देत बहाय १८॥
As the swing's rasa intensified, the companions, intoxicated, embodied every rasa. Garments slipped, bodice ties loosened, and incomparable necklaces broke. The scattered pearl-gems pricked tender feet upon the spread; deeming them mere illusion, the maidservants took them all and cast them into the water. (18)
