राग मलार हिंडोलना आलि भूलत लाड़िली लाज॥ हिंडोलसाल विचित्र कंचन कोट जगमग जोति। ध्वज कलस विद्रुम कंगूरनि पर ललित उपमा होत॥ जनु अरुण महिधर सिखर बैठे निकर खगपति मोर। चहुँ फेर लालि द्रुमावली फल पत्र कुसुम सजात १॥

Rāga Malāra Friend, the darling girl swings, forgetting her modesty. The swing hall has wondrous golden ramparts, all ablaze with light. Flags, finials, and coral turrets above them possess incomparable grace. They seem like companies of royal peacocks seated upon the peaks of a red mountain. All around, rows of red-hued trees are adorned with fruit, leaves, and flowers. (1)
