You cannot suffer without believing a thought

It is a nice simple thing. You cannot suffer without believing your next thought. Even when strong, this aids the chemical reactions, whatever is happening in the body, some mood seems to come, some darkness seems to come. Unless we are believing a thought about it, it will just come and go. You will find that you are untouched by this play of darkness and light. But if you say, okay, now I have been in satsang but still the darkness is coming, something is not working. When you start resisting it like this, you give it power. You give it more the energy. Let all just come and go.
