I used to get frustrated reading Ramana: 'we must do' and 'we cannot do' on facing pages

I am understanding that now it would that seem like a contradiction otherwise because this is a we must do the self inquiry and they also say at some other time or maybe immediately after saying that everything has to be done by God's grace I used to get very frustrated reading I talked with Ramana because just few pages back he said we must do and he says we cannot do anything it has to be His grace. So it's a little more subtle than that and reading the stages more and more and reading the traditional one also more I came to the realization that
