Desire is a knot; the joy is only momentary

Freedom from the grasping, from the wanting. Like I wanted water, I wanted water and then I drink some water. It's transparent in its nature, it has no taste, it has no real inherent pleasure but it's the freedom from that wanting which gives the pleasure of drinking the water. But if you kept drinking the water, then it's another operation. You don't have to keep drinking it. So, desire just creates a knot and the unknotting of that knot seems to give us some joy but that joy is just momentary.
