Who Is Bound?

The question 'Who is bound?' reveals that no separate self exists to be bound—liberation is simply recognizing our true nature as unbounded awareness.

So, that is why a good point to reiterate, before we close is that all that needs to be lost is just conceptual representation of Self. It has no tangible quality, even phenomenally. Nothing phenomenally has to change.’ If it was phenomenal process then Gyana-yoga could not work. Then phenomenal activity had to be done to reset things. Just by looking at ‘what is’ could not lead to Self-recognition. [Smiles] If a problem went away just by looking at how things were, was there really a problem? [Sangha Smiles] So, this bondage problem is just like that. Can you actually look who is bound? Is there bondage? You see there is nothing like that. So, so the light of Self-knowledge is just this that. There is not any separation. There is not any problem. There is not any bondage. But if you found that, there actually is a problem. Then just by looking, it would solve by itself. [Smiles] That is why it is effortless. You do not have to fix anything because there is not anything to fix. But Consciousness itself has given itself this ability to pretend as if there is. and to be rid of this pretense. So sometimes, we can call it a play or leela.
