The Head Cannot Know and You Cannot Not Know

It is you isn't it? The same one is aware of the sensations that we call ‘body’ same one no? The same one is aware of the perceptions that we call body, thought, imagination, memory, all these sensations, the same one. But that same one our head cannot know and the seeker is basically that head trying to know. [Chuckles] [Silence] The head cannot know and you cannot not know. Now when you represent yourself as your head you are seeking. But you cannot not know. [Pause] Agreed that the head cannot know? Agreed or no? How many are still trying to squeeze it into their heads? What does that look like? Nobody feels like [Smiles] so nobody feels like ‘I am trying to squeeze it in my head’ but I will give you an example of what that sounds like-when you say ‘I am trying to understand, I am trying to come to the final understanding.’ How many are trying to come to the final understanding? It sounds very glamorous- ‘Final understanding’ [Asks the Sangha] anyone? Nobody? [Chuckles] Thank you, thank you. It’s not going to happen. Not going to happen, it is not possible. Understanding it is too small, final too big. Forget about it, not going to happen. How many of you trying to get it all straightened up in your head, [Silence] all straightened up in the head? [Looks at zoom room and says] It's few, so it is not going to happen, not going to happen and you do not need to because you can speak from your heart, you can express from your heart so you don’t need to get it all straight in the head. Do the Masters sound all straight in the head? No master sounds all straight. One minute they will say ‘left, left, left.’ Next minute they will say ‘right, right, right’, then next minute, they say ‘round, round, round’ but nothing is straight about any Master. No, it is like full of contradictions, full of confusion and the head gets fully ready to be given up if the Master is pointing strongly enough. We are ready to give up on our head after some time.
