The Best Use Of Time Is to See That You Are Not In Time
The best use of time is to see you are not in time - leave your expectations and ideas behind, stop checking and verifying, and allow the recognition to assimilate.
So what are we doing here? That might not be a bad question actually. Why are you here? And whatever you can define will get in your way. If you have a why for ‘Why are you here?’ then when I point you to the timeless and the space-less and the quality-less, the attribute-less, you will compare your idea about what brought you here with this Reality which is beyond all phenomenon and that will get in your way, ‘But I came for this.’ So, so are we going to be sticky about that? Because that will get in your way. You may have an idea that you came here for ice-cream, Baskin Robbins or something. But you are getting into a time spaceship that is beyond time and space. So how will you compare that against your ice-cream expectation? Maybe we can clarify that right of the bat. You say ‘Show me the Truth’ suppose I show you. How will you know that you saw It? What evidence will prove to you that you saw this Un-see-able Reality? Now you’ve heard me often enough by now to know that It is not something, the Self is not something perceivable and everything perceivable in a way is the Self but you have the sense of what I mean when I say that ‘That from which all of this manifest comes from in Itself is not even perceivable and yet It is always apparent.’ This much you have heard. But what happens now is that you will say ‘How will I know if I found It?’ There should be peace, there should be bliss no? And you don’t give it a minute. [Smiles] Even for Ice-cream line you are willing to wait longer [Smiles] then for the by-products of the recognition of the Self. Must happen… [Clicks his finger] and that’s how you trouble yourselves then. Because when I click it is done. It is not a special click. [Smile] It is done, you are free. But you don’t leave yourself alone for even a moment to assimilate it. You will start checking. Saying ‘Ahh, did it happen, what’s happening? Is he really messing with us or…?’ So it’s important when you come to Satsang to leave yourself to the Master. If you leave yourself alone that much is enough. [Smiles] You don’t have to leave yourself to the Master, just stop troubling yourself that should be [Smiles] more than enough. How do you trouble yourself? If you have a reason for coming. If you have an idea about what should happen. If you have some notions of Reality. They will only get in your way, as that which is so, so simple is being pointed to. So apparent is being pointed to.
